P3 have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and learning all about him and the other 4 ticket winners.
We have chatted about how we would love to be friends with Charlie but not so much the other boys and girls in our story. We all know what makes a good friend now!
We have also been learning about our rights. Charlie’s house isn’t very safe or warm or even dry but today we made wonderful houses that were all those things!!! We didn’t quite manage to use bricks and cement but we did use lots of natural materials to create some fabulous bug houses. Take a peek…
Enjoy the weekend!
Just a wee reminder that it is our annual sponsored walk tomorrow with a movie theme 🙂
Feel free to dress up but please also remember to bring comfy shoes and waterproof clothing in case the heavens open.
Please also bring a snack and water bottle with you as we will be out walking over break time.
But most importantly… have fun!!!
There were 7 lucky boys cashing their Dojo’s in for hot chocolate and treats with the teacher at lunch time today. Lots of munching and dancing happening!
We were up and at ’em this morning to join in with Joe Wicks’ schools exercise week. We will be taking part in this for Fit 15 each day this week. We will be fit as fiddles after all this exercise and our sponsored walk on Wednesday!
Reading books have been sent home today for your boys and girls with no specific instruction… Please don’t panic 🙂 This is simply so you can have a nosey at them and read them with your child at your leisure.
We will need the books back each day for class but we will send them home again at 3pm.
We are going to have some tired boys and girls tonight…
We have been working super hard here in P3 these last 2 weeks, so hard in fact we have been able to cash in lots of Dojo’s and we got to go to the park for Fit 15 today!!!
We have challenged ourselves in maths, playing ‘Hit the Button’, ‘Funky Mummy’ and colour by number. For our new topic, we have have been doing great listening to ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and have created some beautiful and descriptive pictures of sweeties we would like to design and gobble up. And we have even completed super tricky circuits in P.E.!
Believe it or not we have actually done all this work incredibly quietly… and when this happens our Quiet Critters come out to visit and help us concentrate! We are so quiet in fact that Mrs Snedden popped in to compliment us today and said we are even quieter than PRIMARY 7!!!
We are all looking forward to Milton Moments now for some relaxation time after a hard working week!
Have a lovely weekend!
